Nathan first visited Japan in the Fall of 2019 as an exchange student.

Joseph visited Japan with Nathan in the Spring of 2023. Nathan proposed in the late evening of April 7 under the gates of the Fushimi Inari Shrine, and coincidentally, Joseph proposed in the morning of April 8 at Osaka Castle!
