Kathlynn is Nathan's closest friend. She is always ready to laugh in the good times and always available to listen in the bad. A strong contender for the world's biggest Star Wars fan, she can tell you everything from C3PO's blood type to the boundaries of the canon hierarchies.

Kathlynn is one of the smartest people Nathan knows expressing her twin loves of music and physics by using her Master's in music to work at Skywalker Sound and working on her Physics PhD at UCSB.

George and Nathan met at Stanford and quickly realized they had a lot of interests and hobbies in common including board games, ttrpgs, books, and being bisexual! George is always down to try new things in the city and go to random events at the drop of a hat. George is also a great listener and genuinely cares for other people.

George is working on his PhD in Computer Science at Georgia Tech.

Rachel and Nathan met in the first week of high school, and was the first friend he made outside of the cohort he knew since kindergarten. After an awkward "hi" in PE, they began to talk and quickly became friends, commiserating over shared classes, discussing anime and Webtoons, and hanging out during lunch and after school.

Rachel is patient (evidenced by years putting up with Nathan's germaphobia), thoughtful, and kind. She is a skilled seamstress, making clothes to her design. She is working on her teaching credential after which she will be a high school English teacher.

Chandler and Nathan (and Molly) were in various music groups together for about 7 years in and out of school, Chandler on the French horn. From concert band to jazz band to orchestra to brass quintet, Nathan got to bask in the glorious angelic tones of the French horn often. Between practice they would discuss Magic the Gathering, upcoming concerts/gigs, and various video games and TV shows.

One fateful day, Chandler would convince Nathan to try watching anime. In rapture, Nathan fell in love with the medium almost immediately, serving as the starting point of a lifelong journey studying Japanese language and visiting Japan whenever possible.

Chandler is a professional French hornist and music educator with a Bachelors of Music in Performance with Honors.

Molly and Nathan grew up together going to the same school since kindergarten. In all of the same band circles with Nathan and Chandler with Molly an incredible trumpet player, the three spent a great deal of time together. Molly and Nathan shared classes and good times throughout high school.

Nathan also asked Molly to Prom and was graced with a "yes"!

Sharlie Gugel is the best mother a man could hope to be raised by. Despite and because of an incredibly difficult upbringing, she is the most generous, caring, and warm person you will ever meet. She gave everything to raise Nathan, making sure he had the support and love and work ethic to pursue higher education and to make it in the world.

She volunteered in the Hughson school system for years, earning a plaque of achievement from the school district. She is an avid crocheter and quilter and all around craftswoman. She loves period dramas, Nintendo games, and perfume and makeup. While her son was afraid of getting his ear lobes pierced, she has many piercings and tattoos, indicating that being cool and badass is not a trait genetically inherited.
